12 Gifts for Neighbors & Coworkers using your Cricut

Need some DIY Christmas gift ideas? Then you have come to the right place! Here are twelve Christmas gifts perfect for any neighbor or coworker that you can make with your Cricut. These are a hit! I have gifted all of these items and they were well received. If you have any more ideas feel free to share them in the comments! I will be sharing several free SVG files with you today. These files are perfect to cut with your Cricut or to print out and cut by hand! All of my files are free for personal and commercial use. All I ask is that you don’t sell/share the file itself. If you have a friend who might enjoy the project, please share the link to this page with them!

1. Wrapping Paper

While you could technically make wrapping paper with your Cricut, this one is all about the tag! You can print it out or have your Cricut pens make it for you. Simply attach it to a roll of wrapping paper with curling ribbon and you are done! Tip: To make this project even cheaper, buy the rolls right after Christmas the year before!

2. Snowman Soap

This little snowman brings me so much joy and it’s so simple! Cut the circles and carrot nose out of vinyl and stick them to a bottle of white soap. Print your tag or have the Cricut pens draw it for you. Don’t forget to sign your name on the back! I have two BIG tips for this. Number one, remove the front label on your bottle but do not remove the back label. Some people have allergies and you want to make sure they can see the ingredient list. Number two, do not buy the Equate version of this soap. The soap is fine. It’s the label! I made about 50 of these a few years ago using the Equate soap. That front label does not come off easily. It was a nightmare! Instead, use the SoftSoap brand and it will come off instantly. *This is a great teacher gift too. The kids can easily make it themselves!*

3. Chex Mix/Muddy Buddies

The guys at my husbands office are obsessed with Muddy Buddies. The first two or three years he was working there, we found several occasions to gift them some. Here was one of them! This one’s simple. Here’s your tag, add it to a bag of chex goodness and sign your name on the back!

4. Personalized Mug

Have you made a mug with your Cricut yet? There are several ways, and no, you don’t have to have that fancy mug press! Way number one: permanent vinyl. Way number two: infusible ink. Get as fancy or as simple as you want. The nice thing is, you can customize it for each person you are giving it to. Add their name, a quote from their favorite tv show, or a pun they might enjoy. I’ve got a couple of files to help you get started.

Here’s a mug with infusible ink. I do not have a mug press, so I cook mine in the oven with a silicone wrap. It isn’t as consistent as the press, but it still works.

5. Coasters

While we are talking about infusible ink, let’s talk about coasters! The ceramic infusible ink coasters are one of my favorite crafts. This is a more expensive project, so I probably wouldn’t make it for the whole office, but still budget friendly if you buy the supplies during one of Cricut’s many sales. When using infusible ink always make sure to check out the Cricut Heat Guide for exact application. And of course, I’ve got some holiday ones for you, all prepped and ready to go down below.

6. Soda Pop

Do you call it soda or pop? I call it soda, unless I need to make a good pun! Add a tag to a bottle of soda for a quick and cheap gift perfect for the whole neighborhood!

7. Nativity

Cut out a nativity scene made of felt for your church friends (or anyone who loves Jesus)! I did this a couple of years ago for our church friends with kids and they were a hoot. If your chapel has carpet covered pews, the felt will stick to them and keep the kids quietly entertained during church.

8.Ornament

Ornaments are a pretty popular Christmas gift, but with a Cricut your possibilities are endless! You can simply add vinyl to any ornament to customize it, make your own paper ornaments, or engrave a piece of acrylic! I could probably make ten posts just about different ornaments. So, let your imagination run wild! Make sure to share what you make with me on Instagram @craftinkiy!

9. Cards – No, not that kind…

Here is what my husband is giving at work this year! Back in August, Walmart had Maverick Playing Cards on clearance for $0.64 a deck. Well, I jumped right on that! I made this cute printable and used the Print then Cut feature on my Cricut to make the job really easy. I switched the ‘Merry Christmas’ text so it would be written with my Cricut gold glitter gel pen. I used some double sided tape to attach it to the back of the deck of cards. Simple, quick, and clever. (And yes, you could totally give traditional Christmas cards too. Here’s just another option.)

10. Shirt

Heat transfer vinyl (iron-on) is quite possibly my favorite crafting medium. You can add it to any fabric material and turn something from drab to fab in seconds. This is another great way to really personalize a gift in a meaningful way.

11. Earrings

Ok, maybe I lied. Faux leather is my favorite crafting material. Whip up a pair of adorable holiday earrings in seconds with your Cricut! For thin faux leather, use your fine point blade and for thicker material, use your Cricut Maker rotary blade. I’ve got some Christmas shapes to get you started.

12. Water Bottles/Tumblers

Water bottles and tumblers are very popular in the crafting world (partially because they are popular in the real world. Way to hydrate people!). There are a million different ways to do them. The simplest being to add some permanent vinyl. This way is not long lasting in my book so I actually like to use outdoor waterproof vinyl instead. You can also get super fancy and add glitter and epoxy and waterslide decals (and a partridge in a pear tree). Let your creative juices flow.

Bonus: Aprons

I made fifteen apron designs for you to use. Make sure to check them out here.

What projects are you going to try? What have you made that I can add to the list? Let me know in the comments! Thanks for stopping by and happy craftin’!
