Three Little Pumpkins – Preschool Halloween Song

When I was in elementary school I had a really unique opportunity to help out at a preschool each year. I loved it and it definitely helped solidify my desire to be a teacher someday. It also helped me learn a lot of fun songs that I sing to my little kids now. Today, I’ve got some little pumpkins you can make to help with the Three Little Pumpkins sing-a-long. Now, I do know these by heart (though I haven’t heard it sung by anyone else in 15 years), but I also know there are many variations. So here is the way I sing it to my kids:

Three little pumpkins sitting very still

in a pumpkin patch on a great big hill.

This one said, “Oh me! Oh my!

Today I’ll be a pumpkin pie!”

The second one said, “Oh, I’m very, very green

but I’ll be orange by Halloween.”

The third one said, “Oh, I’m on my way

to be a jack-o-lantern gay.”

You could definitely change the last line to something more relevant (and I would recommend it in an actual classroom) but I sing it the original way for now. You could easily end it with ‘today’ instead. Also, the second pumpkin will actually start on the green side and then turn orange. I didn’t make that super clear in the SVG layout, but it makes sense with the song. 🙂

This is the SVG. Right click to save.

Download my SVG to make your own sing-a-long props! I cut all the pieces out on my Cricut and then glued them back to back. Flip each pumpkin over as you sing. So easy, and so cute! Laminate them, and you can use them for years on end! You can also print/cut the pumpkin 5 times and use it for this other song:

Five little pumpkins sitting on a gate.

The first one said, “Oh my, it’s getting late.”

The second one said, “There are witches in the air.”

The third one said, “Oh, we don’t care!”

The fourth one said, “Let’s run and run and run.”

The fifth one said, “I’m ready for some fun!”

Ooooh! went the wind. And out went the lights.

And five little pumpkins rolled out of sight.

Do you know any Halloween songs? Let me know in the comments! Thanks for stopping by! Happy Halloween!
