Alright, you are going to make a super awesome scrapbook. You have a binder. What else do you need?
If you have Amazon Prime, I highly suggest purchasing from their website. They are the cheapest, just know they do not do 2 day shipping. I have had it come that fast but it usually takes about a week. I have noticed it is faster if you order from their Prime Photos app. Lots of places also do free photos for different events. I’ll let you know when I see those.
I have learned the hard way that you have to be selective about photos. It is so easy to print a ton of pictures and then end up with stacks of things you won’t use! For me, I have found I can handle about 10 pictures a month for each of my boys. (Ok, I do way more than that, but that’s probably about right for a normal person.) Now, that is a great number for a baby who is changing rapidly, but I would not recommend that many for an adult book. Pick pictures that mean something to you! And you don’t have to get a million at once!
|Sometimes I do just pictures.|
I am very picture heavy when it comes to scrapbooks and that’s because no matter how cute my paper is, my kids are cuter! I like a little decoration but I want the memories that the pictures can give.
|I only get the big pictures when they are free. The rest are just 4×6 (or 4×5.3)
and I cut them to add variety.
Walmart has a sale on their 5×7 photo books ($4). I am making some full of my boys and their family (aunts, uncles, cousins) for them to look at during church. It would also make a great little Father’s Day gift. Click here if you want to check it out. (Sale has ended.)
|Here’s a teaser from the book I got. Their site is a pain but I’m pleased with how it turned out.
Should be ready for pick up in the morning.
And no, I don’t get anything for promoting these deals. I just like to share when I find good ones.
