Bug Birthday Party

I love planning birthday parties! I’ve done a construction themed birthday, a Mickey Mouse birthday, a duck birthday and a tractor birthday! Today, my little guy turned two and we had a bug party!

I loved this party because the day-of set up was super easy. Nearly everything could be made ahead of time! I purchased some little bug balloons from Aliexpress and blew them up with an air pump (while feeding the baby!). I made a birthday shirt (scroll down for the free SVG), and we had a pair of bug pants that worked perfect. I bought some Dollar Tree party plates and used some black and white paper to make this adorable caterpillar sign! (Scroll down for that free SVG as well!)

The piñata took some time, but this is my third time DIYing one and I’ve gotten quite proficient. I used a punch balloon as a base and vinyl rolls for the legs! If you want to learn how to make your own piñata click here.

My little guy isn’t a huge fan of cake so we mixed up some chocolate pudding topped with Oreos and a gummy worm to make these cute dirt cups!

I filled bags with PlayDoh and plastic bugs from Dollar Tree for the kiddos. I scattered the leftover bugs on the table for decoration.

It wasn’t her party, but I saw this cute ladybug outfit at Dollar Tree and I just had to get it for her!
